Building a House: Construction Steps – Kitchen Completion (Countertops, Appliances & Hardware)!

We are building a house, and in this video we complete our custom kitchen as we walk you through our process of selecting and installing countertops and backsplash, appliances, plumbing fixtures, hardware, lighting, and other beautiful details. We also share how we select the right countertops material for our waterfall island and throughout, and what considerations we take into account when selecting the slabs. In previous episodes we shared the design for our black and white Dream kitchen and the installation of the cabinetry, and now you can see how all the details come to life to create our timeless yet contemporary kitchen. Finally, we also show how we clad the fireplace surround in our living room with a gorgeous, bold tile and complete our countertop installation in our laundry room as well.

We are continuing the on-site construction process of building our custom home and previously on our new home build we completed the main structure and closed off the walls starting with excavation, concrete foundation, waterproofing, back filling, framing, installing the roof, installing the windows, applying stucco and stone on the exterior, completing the rough-ins, insulation, and drywall. We have also started our interior home finishes by completing the installation of tile and hardwood flooring, trim finishes, and cabinetry installation throughout, including our Dream white kitchen – make sure to watch those episodes to get up to speed!
