Postal Jeep 4 2 Liter Crankshaft Grinding

Bill Cummings at Custom Crankshaft in Tacoma WA, first built up in his purpose built welder a heavily damaged cast iron 4.2 liter Jeep 238 ci. crankshaft from my old 1974 AM General Postal Supervisor's Jeep. Not the original engine. I had tried to rebuild it without the crankshaft repair. Big mistake. Not going to pretend to be a car guy.

The repair turned out wonderfully. There's a tiny few divots where the weld didn't quite "take" but so much better than before. Not yet re-installed in the Jeep but that's coming up this coming weekend I hope. May make another video on that, could be interesting.
