Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited the Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Timor-Leste from May 26 to June 4. "The Hub with Wang Guan" talks to Desmond Yaninen, president of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Council of PNG and founder of financial services firm Pacifund, and to Richard Yakam, chief trade officer at PNG's National Trade Office, to discuss trade relations and cooperation between the two countries as PNG looks to shift its economy away from primary materials to more lucrative finished products and focus on development, jobs and people's well-being regardless of current geopolitical wrangling.
