ABS Academy Alumni Share Their Experiences

Katelyn Aungst, Julie Bosworth, and William Meinert come together at Peabody Institute to share about their experiences in the 2017 ABS Festival and Academy. American Bach Soloists ACADEMY is an advanced training program for emerging professionals and accomplished students of historically informed performance practice. The Academy was founded in 2010 with the purpose of providing mentorship and artistic support to those musicians who are seeking to bridge the gap between advanced conservatory, university, or personal studies and an emerging career, either as soloists, chamber musicians, or with professional early music institutions.

Since the ACADEMY's inaugural year, more than 500 participants have been admitted from around the world. In addition to in-depth coachings and technical studies with masters of their particular instruments, string players, wind and brass players, continuo and keyboard players, and singers work together with all faculty members, gaining the perspectives of eminent and highly acclaimed professional artists from a variety of disciplines.
