Mini Bike Revival - Manco Thunderbird

This is an early 90s Manco Thunderbird Mini bike! I got it as just a frame ($100) and added a 6hp Tecumseh engine, which is the same brand of engine that originally came with these mini bikes when they were bought new. The engine was a gift to me after helping a friend pickup a go kart frame with my truck. Previous to this video I removed the governor and threw on a Mikuni clone carburetor and performance air filter. after welding up a homemade header pipe and a little carb tuning it was good to go. I purchased a 41 chain and clutch on Amazon surprisingly cheap ($25). I also bought a little motorcycle gas tank and new twist grip throttle assembly with the cable from Amazon as well ($30). The headlight and taillight came from Walmart and I used a 12v 7ah battery like what you see in most Powerwheels. This was a really fun project and it is a blast to ride, especially with the front and rear suspension. This goes to show how much fun you can have on a minimal budget!
