Heavy rainfall in Queensland 'largely very welcome'
While wild weather continues in southern states, skies have mostly cleared across Queensland after heavy rainfall in some areas.
Agforce Grains President Brendan Taylor says the rain has been "largely very welcome".
"We have been very dry through August and September and some of October," he told Sky News Australia.
He said, however there are crops which have endured "some significant rainfall".
"It's probably too early to tell the damage to that, hopefully minimal but certainly ripe grain crops don't enjoy big falls of rain on them when they're ready to harvest."
