DIY Screen Stretching (Filipino Language)

stretching my screen using my DIY stretcher.
Use corner softening to prevent screen breakage and use an extra wooden stick to gain additional leverage in stretching the mesh.

Steps.

1. Apply 2 layers of contact cement to your frame and let dry. (not shown)
2. using a hard object (pvc), attach the mesh to the first 2 adjacent side of the frame making an "L" pattern.
3. On the 3rd side of the frame. Clamp your mesh between the 2 wooded bar using c-clamps.
4. Gently bring the frame down causing the mesh to stretch. to gain extra stretching leverage, after the intial strech, insert a wooded stick between the frame and stretcher (as shown in the video) then restretch the mesh. remember that this is only the 3rd side so the mesh would still not be fully stretched.
5. After the 3rd side has been stretch, do step 3 and 4 on the 4th and last side.

Remember to apply soft cornering before you stretch to prevent mesh breakage at the corner of the frames.

I don't use any tensionmeter so I just estimate the tension of my screens.
