Any SMS after being received by the GSM modem is forwarded to the micro controller. The controller looks for the proper format of the SMS, if matching is not there, then the SMS is discarded by it. Hence, there is security also for unauthorized access. A dot matrix LCD is there to display the proper count. There are two modes of operations for the system: automatic mode and broadcast mode. In automatic mode it keeps listening for the SMS and in broadcast mode, it sends the message to all registered users and then waits for their response.
