CCNA, NETWORK+, SECURITY+, A+, MCSA | Best First Cert in 2020

With everyone being home, I've been getting a lot (and I mean A LOT!!!) of question about what is the best first certificate to get for folks getting into the IT and/or cybersecurity. So, grab a drink and sit down with me! I'm going to explain some general differentiators, as well as some industry and government specific situations which might make one cert more beneficial than the other!

We're talking Cisco vs. Comptia vs. Microsoft in a cert battle royal (CCNA, Security+, A+, Network+, MCSA, and CEH). Each has their own merits and fits within difference scenarios.

Also, as mentioned in the video, below is a link for the Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Certification matrix. This lays out the various certifications that are required hold certain positions/responsibilities while working for the DoD.
