Daimler once owned by Queen sells at auction

(26 Jul 2017) A Daimler Majestic once owned by the Queen sold on Wednesday for 43,700 pounds ( 57,000 US dollars) at the H&H Classics Auction at Duxford Imperial War Museum, near Cambridge.
The car comes complete with many personal alterations introduced for Her Majesty the Queen, including buttons for activating flashing blue lights and a bespoke handbag tray.
The car was in Royal service from 2001 to 2007 and was regularly driven by both the Queen and Prince Philip.
After failing to meet its reserve the car was provisionally sold for 38,000 pounds (49,600 US dollars) but the seller and buyer later came to an agreed fee of GBP 43,700, slightly under the initial estimated guide price.
