Starting off Milhouse from The Simpsons. He started as a leftover sketch for a failed NBC pitch. He was later recycled for a 1988 Butterfinger commercial before finally landing a permanent role in the show's 1989 premiere. Now, he's appeared in over 600 episodes
Next is Harley Quinn: Harley was invented as a one-off henchwoman for a single episode in 1992 for the Animated Series and never to be heard from again. Her popularity skyrocketed after that episode, and she was quickly written into more episodes, then into the comics, games, and movies, becoming one of DC’s most recognizable characters.
Bobba Fet’s first Public appearance was apart of a 1978 San Anselmo Country Fair Day and Parade and Boba Fett appeared in the animated segment of the non-canon 1978 Holiday Special, He wasn’t intended to become a major character, but fan obsession turned him into one of the franchises most iconic Characters.
Then there is Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad. Jesse was supposed to die in Season 1, but Aaron Paul's performance convinced the writers to keep him. He ended up becoming co-lead and one of the show's most emotionally complex characters.
And lastly Scrat from Ice Age, He was never meant to be a main or recurring character, But his slapstick misadventures became so popular that he got entire subplots and even short films dedicated to him.
