Today We are comparing two of the newest light jets in the market. If you have about $3,000,000 - $5,000,000 to spend on an economical private jet, The Cirrus jet and Honda jet should be on your shortlist.

Both these jets are similar in their mission profile and carrying capacity. The Honda jet although will get the job done much faster. But you'll be paying almost double the price in acquisition cost.

Here is a list of all the categories we looked at.

Mission - Both jets are capable cross country machines. The Cirrus SF50 will travel up to 1000 miles while the honda jet can take you 1500 miles. Both can also seat up to 7 people.

Design - Cirrus jet has one engine while Honda jet has two. the cabin of the Cirrus jet is a bit more intuitive and the Cirrus SF50 generation 2 does come with autoland system. Honda jet has a nice cabin with different sitting configuration and You've got a toilet on board.

Comfort - Cirrus jet can carry up to 7 people total, although those back row seats are really meant for children or very small adults as the leg room back there is not much. The cirrus jet cabin is also very quiet compared to the honda jet. The Honda jet can seat up to 8 people/adults comfortably depending on your seating configuration.

Performance - Honda jet with two turbo fan engine wil cruise up to 422 knots and fly as high as 43,000 feet. The cirrus jet will cruise up to 311 kts and fly up to 31,000 feet. Climb rate in the honda jet also out performs Cirrus at 4,000 feet per minute, compared to 1600 feet per minute in the Cirrus.

Purchase Price – Cirrus jet fully loaded will cost about $3.6 million. Honda jet fully loaded will cost $5.2 million
