The Killing of Cathy Sano

Last year I covered the sad story of Sherry Byrne, the 22-year-old woman from Hamilton County, Ohio who was kidnapped and murdered by David Brewer, a man she believed to be her friend. These horrible events unfolded in March of 1985. While researching that case, I came across another, which took me down an equally difficult path of research. The case of Cathy Sano came to light in February of 1982, mere miles from where Sherry’s life was taken three years later. It was another Ohio-based fight for justice that ran parallel to the Sherry Byrne story for years to come.
