Why is Third Cutting Grass Hay RARE in Michigan? - was it WORTH IT?!

**Throwback to summer 2021* We've never harvested a THIRD CUTTING off our orchard grass hayfield . . . we've tried to, but have NEVER been successful.

But a rainy summer meant the grass NEVER STOPPED GROWING, and now we HOPE to be able to bale enough to make up for our poor first cut.

But fall also means rain . . . with equipment vendors scheduled to arrive later in the week to feature special baling equipment, will the weather ruin our preparations or will our equipment vendors be out of luck?
