How can you get a publishing deal for your music?
If you're a songwriter and dream of writing for other people and getting your music published, this video is for you.
Here are 10 tips to help you achieving your dream.
10 - Don't wait to be inspired.
You have to keep writing all of the time. Set yourself up like a professional writer, and force through the writing procedure.
9 - Music Industry Solicitors.
Music solicitors are connected with the right people. They are a great way of getting your work recognised. Show them you are determined, and go for it!
8 - Learn.
You'll have to learn songwriting in detail. Don't keep writing songs and hoping for the best. Learn your trade, and improve your skills.
7 - Collaborations.
Collabs in songwriting are very very important. It stops your from doing whatever you want, whenever you want to. It's a great way of improving your writing and getting someone to take more of an overview of your work.
6 - Seek artists to write for.
The more you work and write for up and coming artists, the more you have chances that one of them breaks, get a record deal, and put you in a stronger position. So find artists in your area you can actually write for and do collabs with.
5 - Find a way of recording.
Nowadays, production makes a huge difference. You've got to be good at recording or find someone who is good as recording. Make the effort and spend time making your songs sound as good as they possibly can.
4 - Linked in.
You need to find these people who can help you, and what a better way than using Linked in, or even twitter search. Spend time searching for people that could be valuable for you and help you. Linked in is the perfect way for you to actually network better than any other way when it comes to social media.

You need to prove to the world what you do works, and social media is the best way of doing that. If you can prove that your songs work, people will then employ you to write more songs, and it goes round and round and round in circles.

So many young artists need some help and need more songs. Don't leave a song stuck on your computer just because you think it's not good enough. Share it so people can hear it, and see it.
1 - This is a long term career.
This is not something that is going to happen over night. Song writing can take years and years and all of a sudden it can clic. Stick at it, don't give up, learn every single day, and don't expect results very very quickly. This is a patience game.
