Internal Medicine Residency | University of Florida Jacksonville

The department of medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida, offers a three-year, ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program that offers outstanding training. The program offers a dynamic training platform that is in full compliance with all ACGME program requirements.

Residency training at the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville occurs primarily at UF Health Jacksonville, a 695-bed not-for-profit tertiary care teaching facility. UF Health Jacksonville has the only adult and pediatric Level I trauma center in Northeast Florida and a state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Center and Neuroscience Institute.

Our campus has had an ACGME-approved internal medicine residency training program since the early 1960s. Growing from five internal medicine trainees in 1961, the program now consists of 48 residents and is led by two fourth-year chief medical residents and three program directors.
