Creating Impactful Learning Opportunities in Soil Health Education Programs

Cameron Ogilvie, SHI Soil Health Educator, leads a discussion on key ingredients for impactful learning experiences and how these principles can be incorporated into soil health education programs. The panel features Jennifer Doelman, a farmer and CCA from Ontario; Dr. Maja Krzic, Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia; and Dr. Rob Myers, North Central Regional Director, USDA-SARE, and Director of the Center for Regenerative Agriculture. Jess Newman, Senior Director of Agriculture & Sustainability at McCain Foods, kicks the session off by sharing McCain’s vision for growing potatoes using regenerative soil health systems and their partnership with SHI to provide an education program for field staff and growers.
