Елена Фролова - Гуси-лебеди (Elena Frolova - Gusi-lebedi)

A song from Elena Frolova's 2003 album called Dorozhen'ka. Either the song lyrics or its music (not sure which) are from the Russian folk tradition, and the stringed instrument heard throughout the song is traditional Russian Gusli (something of a cross between harp and guitar). The song is a lullaby, very emotional, it tells of a pack of wild geese/swans who take a rest after a long day of continuous flying, and of one particular young tiny goose who didn't want to sleep and kept looking at the sky, watching the stars, thinking of them as his brethren, talking to them in his mind - little tiny stars, my sisters, tell me how to reach you - and they would answer him - calm down and close your eyes, and once you are asleep and dreaming, you will find yourself on a swift sledge that will be carried up by the dream, and once you are in the other world, you will meet us - there will be more faerytales, there will be Paradise, just close your eyes and sleep...
