eBay Finds: $11 HP Thin Client T5740s Intel Atom N280 Overview and Demo

In today's eBay finds video we are going to take a look at a little Hewlett Packard T5740s (HSTNC 006) thin client that I bought off eBay from Maven Technologies for $11 USD. I originally bought this system as a possible replacement for my Core 2 duo HP web server but since then I have expanded the tasks of my server and the little Atom N280 inside the thin client will no longer be enough to handle the server's duties. So instead I think I will just mess around with this system for awhile and maybe make a couple "experiment" videos revolving around it.

For $11 bucks I have no regrets. This system really is after all meant for embedded applications and it might actually make a decent little box to run a torrent client on to host bonus content downloads! As a daily driver with Windows 7 it is a bit sluggish but it can still perform basic office tasks such as web-browsing and word processing with moderate haste.

System specs: Intel Atom N280 1.66GHZ, 1GB DDR3, 512MB internal IDE flash, Integrated Intel, video, surprising amount of internal and external I/O.
