Meteora. Vikos gorge. Zagori | Greece #10

So this is the 10th episode from Greece explorations. This weekend we explored these places:

01:25 Meteora
Actually, it was one of the top places that we couldn't believe that exists in Greece. The unique rock formations look like huge boulders, and on top of them are built monasteries. It is a really unique view! We believe that in moody stormy weather it looks even more spectacular. Meteora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

08:55 Zagori
A diverse region that contains dozens of unique hand made stone bridges and the worlds deepest canyon.

10:41 Rogovos canyon
Would be really nice to take a full canyoning experience. The water was very very cold.

11:17 Mikro Papigo
One of the well-known ancient towns in Zagori.

13:15 Vikos Gorge
Vikos gorge is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the deepest gorge. Length of about 20 km, depth ranging from 120 to 490 m, and a width ranging from 400 m to only a few meters at its narrowest part.

17:00 Agia Paraskevi Monastery - Monodendri
The Monastery of Saint Paraskevi is an abandoned monastery situated on the edge of Vikos Gorge, in the region of Zagori. The monastery is really nice, though we had an unforgettable experience walking by the edges of the canyon just behind the monastery.
