The Airship Roma Disaster

Follow the pride of America’s dirigible fleet from its procurement in Italy to its assigned base at Langley Field, Virginia, and ultimate fate as America’s deadliest hydrogen airship disaster. Sheppard has written extensively about her native Tidewater, Virginia and has a special interest in military history. Author of four books, Sheppard also played a key role in the creation of the historical marker placed at the site of the ROMA disaster.
