Stephen Golub on Donald Trump & the 2016 US Elections
The imminent success of Donald Trump at securing the Republican Party's nomination for President of the United State has surprised much of the world and, in fact, most American political professionals and commentators. What accounts for his rise? Is it at all similar to current trends in parts of Europe? What are its implications for America and America's role in the world? And, not least, what are his chances of being elected President of the United States?
Stephen Golub is a visiting professor at SPP. He specializes in legal and political development across the globe, as a scholar and consultant for such organizations as the Open Society Foundations, the World Bank, the U.K Dept. for International Development and Amnesty International.
