The debate on the framework of Sharia law has begun with the Taliban coup in Afghanistan. There is no doubt that the Sharia law of Islam has always been criticized. Many questions have been raised on Sharia law regarding the modalities of giving punishment and triple talaq and the worrying condition of Muslim women. But, few years ago there was a demand for partial implementation of Sharia law in India, when many cases of heinous rape were reported. However, the personal matters of Indian Muslims are settled under Sharia law. ( 00:43 )

In the second story, we will tell you why Russia's Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline is in dispute. The natural gas pipeline from Russia to Germany will meet the energy needs of Europe. But, many countries including Ukraine and Poland are calling this project fatal. Due to geopolitical dominance in Europe, America has also been opposing this pipeline. ( 09:20 )

Turkey is building an artificial canal parallel to the Bosphorus Strait. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated the ‘Kanal Istanbul Project’ in Istanbul of European part. This canal will connect the Black Sea with the Marmara Sea. This will reduce the traffic of ships in the Bosphorus Strait. However, this is being seen by Turkey as a challenge to rival Russia. अफगानिस्तान में तालिबानी तख्तापलट के साथ ही वहाँ लागू होने वाले शरिया कानून की रूपरेखा पर बहस शुरू हो गई है। इसमें कोई दो राय नहीं कि इस्लाम के शरिया कानून की हमेशा ही आलोचना होती रही है। सजा और तीन तलाक देने के तौर-तरीकों और मुस्लिम महिलाओं की चिंताजनक स्थिति को लेकर शरिया कानून पर कई सवाल उठते रहे हैं। लेकिन, एक ऐसा भी वक्त आया जब भारत में आंशिक रूप से शरिया कानून को लागू करने की मांग उठने लगी थी, तब जघन्य रेप के कई मामले सामने आए थे। हालाँकि, भारतीय मुस्लिमों के निजी मामलों का समाधान शरिया कानून के तहत ही होता है।

दूसरी कहानी में आपको बताएंगे कि रूस की नॉर्ड स्ट्रीम-2 गैस पाइपलाइन क्यों विवादों में है। रूस से जर्मनी तक जाने वाली प्राकृतिक गैस पाइपलान यूरोप की ऊर्जा जरूरतों को पूरा करेगी। लेकिन, यूक्रेन और पोलैंड समेत कई देश इस परियोजना को घातक बता रहे हैं। यूरोप में भू-राजनीतिक वर्चस्व हासिल करने के चलते अमेरिका भी इस पाइपलान का विरोध करता रहा है।

बास्फोरस जलडमरुमध्य के समानांतर तुर्की एक कृत्रिम नहर बना रहा है। यूरोप के हिस्से वाले इस्तांबुल शहर में ‘कनाल इस्तांबुल प्रोजेक्ट’ का उद्घाटन राष्ट्रपति रेचेप तैय्यप अर्दोआन ने कर दिया है। यह नहर काला सागर को मरमरा सागर से जोड़ेगी। इससे बास्फोरस जलडमरुमध्य में जहाजों के ट्रैफिक में कमी आएगी। हालाँकि, इसे तुर्की द्वारा प्रतिद्वंदी रूस को चुनौती पेश करने के रूप में देखा जा रहा है।
