New 2024 Lexus LBX 👌 Luxury Small Hybrid SUV and don't call it Yaris Cross!

The Japanese automaker has revealed the all-new 2024 Lexus LBX, its smallest SUV offering, which will be exclusively offered with a hybrid powertrain.

The Lexus LBX has a sharper and sportier design than its donor vehicle, the Toyota Yaris Cross, with which it shares its GA-B platform architecture.

The LBX is powered by a new generation, self-charging Lexus hybrid electric system featuring a compact and lightweight 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine.

The total output is 100 kW (134 hp) and 136.5 pound-feet (185 Nm) of torque, surpassing the Toyota Yaris Cross by 20 hp.

The LBX achieves a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in 9.2 seconds is decent for its power and size.

The new Lexus LBX will come as standard with front-wheel drive, paired with a CVT automatic transmission, and There will be an optional E-Four all-wheel drive version too, with an additional electric motor on the rear axle.

The 2024 Lexus LBX SUV will commence production later this year, with sales to begin in early 2024, but Lexus will let customers place reservations from July, with full details of spec and pricing, and the ability to place actual orders scheduled for October.

The new 2024 Lexus LBX is likely to cost around $37,500. This will position it above the Toyota Yaris Cross, which is priced at $31,000, and below the Lexus UX, which costs $43,500. A MINI Countryman also costs just under $37,500.
