12 Unbelievable Photos of Time Travelers

You won't believe the amazing photos of time travelers from the guy who claimed to be from the future to police to an iPhone in the past.

6. Andrew D. Basiago’s Trip Back to the 1860’s
This image is courtesy of Andrew D. Basiago who says he took part in DARPA’s top secret governmental operation, Project Pegasus, back in the 1970’s. The photo is claimed to have been taken during one of his temporal trips, during which he returned to Gettysburg on the same sad day that Abraham Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address on 19 November 1863. Basiago states that he is the boy who is seen standing at the center-left in the foreground looking to his right. Naturally, Basiago has plenty of other stories to tell, and even claims that in the 1980s, President Barack Obama traveled to Mars and had received information prior to his presidency that he would become the president of the united states. Sounds plausible, right? Well Basiago has made it his own personal goal to expose the secret time travel capabilities of the government.

5. A 1920’s Cellphone Call
In a short clip taken from a special feature from the DVD version of Charlie Chaplin’s film, The Circus, we can see a fairly mundane shot from the film’s premiere in 1928 at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. In the clip, you can see two people walk across the screen behind a zebra. But that’s not the weird part. If you look closely, you will see a woman, pictured here, holding something to her ear. What could that something be? It seems a lot like a cell phone, the pan-dimensional communication device that did not exist for roughly 7 more decades after this film was shot. Seems like a genuine argument for time travel if you ask me.

4. The 400 year old Swiss Watch
It is alleged that in December 0f 2008, Chinese archaeologists removed the opening of a massive Si Qing tomb which was believed to have been left undisturbed for more than 400 years. However, as the researchers removed the soil from around the coffin, they were surprised and shocked to have found something that didn’t seem to belong. They discovered a small piece of metal which was shaped like a miniature watch, with the time frozen at 10:06. The word ‘Swiss’ was engraved in the back of the mini time piece. If the tomb was really undisturbed for 400 years, the only thing that could explain this modern artifact’s presence would be an absent-minded time traveler… with a really small wrist.

3. A 1930’s Woman on a Cellphone
If Charlie Chaplin’s film premiere wasn’t enough, here is an image of a group of people leaving a DuPont factory in Massachusetts sometime in 1938. As you can clearly see, the lady in the middle is holding something up to her ear and laughing. Could she be having a chat with someone on a cell phone? All we can say is that time travelers really need to up their game. Travelers, you can’t take devices from our present into the past. Inevitably someone will find it, photograph it, and post it on the internet. You really need to read the time travelers manual.

2. A Hipster Time Traveler
This picture was found on the Virtual Museum of Canada website, which is an online repository of Canada’s rich culture and history. The picture is said to be from the reopening of the South Fork Bridge in Gold Bridge, British Colombia in Canada in the early 1940s. The event clearly attracted quite a crowd. But in the photo, you can see that someone just doesn’t belong. So who was the strange man who is so seemingly out of place in his modern attire? The fancy glasses, coat, and branded t-shirt couldn’t make him look more like he was in the wrong time. This is what happens when you let your hipster friends play with your time machine… they go back in time to visit the reopening of a bridge. How alternative of him.

1. Man Handing a Letter to a Woman in the Entrance Hall of a House
When Tim Cook showed this picture to a room full of journalists at Startup Fest Europe, he made a joke saying that he thought he knew when the iPhone was invented, but after looking at this painting, he wasn’t so sure anymore. The strange-shaped block in the painting is actually a letter, or so the painter has claimed in its title, "Man Handing a Letter to a Woman in the Entrance Hall of a House," which really leaves nothing to the imagination. But we can’t help but agree with Tim about how much it looks like an iPhone. This might be a case of seeing what we want to see, but this could also reveal some strange happenings that just happened to be captured by a painter.
