As mobile growth continues to accelerate, the necessity of highly performant webpages has increased. Visitors come from subways, across continents, on 1-bar 2G connections and they all expect your site to perform as well as if they're at home on their desktop. Most of us have adopted great new strategies enabling us to get load times under 5 seconds and meet that typical goal of a 3-5k Speed Index. But despite spending countless hours optimizing, many of us still look at sites like Amazon in awe, wondering how they are still so much more performant. What are they doing that we aren't?
