This is Harina Mela of Mukteshwar dham, where an ancient Shiva linga appeared about 400 years ago. The folklore says, a shepherd used to come with his cows. But, suddenly one of the cow stopped giving milk. After which the cow was left to graze itself and the herdsmen found that the cow stopped in particular point and all his milk naturally flowed downwards, as if someone was milking it. Gradually, the villagers came to the spot and started digging that place, where they found a shiva linga and since then, Harina parv was celebrated annually which gradually came to be known as Harina mela.
