Circles of Joy/Festival of Joy - May 14th., 2022

A beautiful highlight video showcasing the culmination of our nine month joy initiative in collaboration with The Department of Illumination in Picton, Ontario. This project happened over many months, starting with free story-telling circles for community members, sharing stories of joy. An online archive of those recorded stories was created, and then 18 artists (dancers, musicians, visual artists, installation artists...) each selecting one story and creating an artistic response. All of this culminated in this in-person Festival - Circles of Joy. This video gives you a glimpse into the beauty of what was created and shared that day.
