When Love Is Gone WIDESCREEN 1.85:1 - The Muppet Christmas Carol (LaserDisc Transfer)

UPDATE (9th December 2020): According to Brian Henson, Disney have found the lost negative for the song and remastered it in 4K. Hopefully it will finally be restored to the Disney+ version and a new 4K Blu-ray!

This is the letterbox widescreen version of When Love Is Gone from The Muppet Christmas Carol. Taken from the LaserDisc version of the movie. The LaserDisc was the only home video release to have the song included in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1. According to Brian Henson, the original negative for the scene has been lost, making it unlikely that the scene can ever be remastered in its original aspect ratio. Although the scene is now available in HD as an extra on Disney+, I believe this has been cropped from the best available 4:3 version.
