WE SNAPPED A COMBINE AXLE! **MAJOR DAMAGE!**

Moving equipment around always seems to be what we start harvest days doing. Once we got tractors and grain carts where they needed to be, we started harvesting corn. After making a dent in the field, my girlfriend came out and I taught her to drive the combine so I was able to rest for a little while.

The next day we had a plethora of small activities to complete before we could start harvesting. Right when we got done with those activities, Cooper called and said the back axle on the combine snapped. Not quite the phone call you want to get. We ran out to the combine to access the damage and found it simply to be a broken rear axle on our 2001 Case IH 2388 combine. Dad and Cooper immediately started jacking up the combine and pulling the broken axle out. I ran off with Grandpa John to a scrap yard to pick up a new axle and steering rod.
