Pierce Ascendant 107' Tiller Aerial Ladder Truck Now In Service At Fire Station 1

For the first time in nearly forty years, a tractor-drawn aerial ladder truck enters the Madison Fire Department's fleet, bringing back old technology to meet modern needs. Now serving from Fire Station 1 in downtown Madison, WI, this Ascendent 107-foot Heavy-Duty Tiller Aerial Ladder from Pierce Manufacturing in Oshkosh is believed to be the fourth tiller to have entered the fleet in the history of the MFD. It is the only one in service in the state of Wisconsin today.
