I built a compact DIY weather station using an ESP32, SHT30 for temperature and humidity, and a BMP280 for pressure and altitude readings. The entire setup is battery-powered with a 3.7V Li-Ion cell and managed using a TP4056 module for safe power delivery. All sensor data is transmitted over Wi-Fi and visualized through a live dashboard on Adafruit IO.

The project uses MicroPython for fast development, with I²C communication to keep wiring simple. I also enabled deep sleep mode on the ESP32 to conserve battery, making it suitable for outdoor use over several days without recharging.

To keep everything protected, I 3D printed a Stevenson screen for the sensors, and a separate enclosure for the ESP32 and battery. It’s not in its ideal mounting location yet, but it’s already logging reliable data — and it was built with almost no soldering required.

If you're into ESP32 projects, weather tracking, or building your own IoT devices, this one’s a great example of how simple and effective DIY tech can be.
