Why TikTok faces troubles in U.S.

U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to ban the popular social media app #TikTok, which is owned by a #China-based company. There are now reports that #Microsoft wants to buy the app's U.S. business. Microsoft said it would continue discussions to buy TikTok from Chinese internet giant #ByteDance, and it was aiming to conclude negotiations by September 15. Trump also said on Sunday that he will give Microsoft and TikTok 45 days to secure a deal. Zhang Yiming, the founder and CEO of ByteDance, said in an internal company letter on Monday, "We have not reached a final solution yet." Has China-U.S. competition over cyberspace expanded from #Huawei to TikTok as well?
