From a two-room campus in Lahore to over 900 campuses all across India, the roots of DAV have spread far and deep. In 1885, the first Dayanand Anglo Vedic (DAV) School was established in Lahore by its founder Maharashi Dayanand Saraswati, which was subsequently upgraded to become the first DAV College. In 2012, DAV turned over to a new page and revitalized its community engagement through an initiative of DAV United. Starting with an aim of uniting the large number of students and alumni of DAV on one common platform, this initiative infused a renewed sense of pride and togetherness. In its 7 year-long journeys, this initiative has connected lakhs of DAVians, invigorated the alumni alma-mater relationship. Relentless in its pursuit, DAV United continues to search ahead with the sole objective of serving DAV and its community better and taking it to newer heights with every passing year.
