Fire Island 1998

Historic video of the gay mecca, Fire Island (New York), in home video from July 4, 1998 shot by Todd K Jennings (who died in March, 2004 of a heart attack at age 56). The first person you see on the video, Rich Richenberg, died in May, 2011 (suicide). Rich was an Air Force captain who was kicked out the military for being gay. He bought a legal case all the way to the Supreme Court, which ruled against him. He was a lost soul after that. - Included are scenes of the Pavilion bar and dance club, destroyed in a November, 2011 fire.
