After finishing my dual electronic engine control lever IP68 (link below), I suddenly realized that besides controlling speed it would be quite useful if I could also control direction. So now I need an electronic steering wheel too. Or do I?
After writing up some ad hoc requirements, we do a detailed analysis of those. This includes an excursion into the history of marine steering mechanisms (feel free to skip that). I also measure how strong I am, pulling on a wheel (quite entertaining)
