Film Rights Illustrated with Marvel Comics

This video essay explores the complexities and history of Marvel’s film rights for all of its characters. We all recognize Spider-Man with Sony, and for a while X-Men and Fantastic Four with Fox, but how did all of these Marvel characters end up in all of these different studios over time? This video compiles much of the stories surrounding Marvel and its intellectual properties starting with its time as Timely Comics to now with its parent company Disney! Enjoy!
