Orchids with desiccated roots vs. rotten roots - How to tell the difference

A few days ago I was talking about how orchids don't show signs of illness right away. I was mentioning that I think this orchid didn't receive enough water lately so the roots are dead, since no amount of water hydrates it anymore. Today I repotted it and I though it would be a good opportunity to show you how desiccated roots look like in comparison with rotten roots. Hope this was useful, enjoy!
