LGBTQ+ Tik Toks For Pride Month #5
Hello Everyone. I hope you are having a great day and a great Pride Month! I don’t feel very proud this month. There’s been a lot going on in the world and in my life that just makes me feel down, but I’ve also am a lot healthier than I have been before. I’m going to share something a little personal now so here we go. When I was a kid I suppressed my emotions a lot, it wasn’t from childhood trauma (at least I don’t think so) I just had bad friends. I had the type of friends who didn’t express themselves at all emotionally. They were closed in and criticized others who expressed themselves. They were also really cruel. They were really cruel to people and rarely talked about much else and they would force their views and things they liked on others. I remember not listening to 2 of my favorite artists just because they didn’t like my taste in music. So I never got a chance to express myself emotionally or to comfort other people when they were down. So now having a lot better friends who will listen and be kind I still find it hard to express myself. I find it hard to express myself to myself. But recently I’ve been working a lot with that. Although I still find it hard to express myself to others I am able to be who I am around myself. I’ve been crying a lot more recently just because it’s a great way to release a lot of that caged up emotion. Crying is healthy. To some it can be a sign of weakness or unhealthiness, but crying is a healthy thing to do. It is a release of emotion that is often necessary for a lot of people. I’m happy that I am able to cry more, to be able to show what I am feeling.
Anyway, I hope you are staying safe and healthy. And I hope you know that whatever you’re going through now it will get better. It always does. It can be hard to believe at times but it always gets better. Remember to eat and hydrate. Remember to bind safely if you are binding! 8-12 hours and don’t sleep with your binder on. Remember to take any medication you are supposed to take. And most important of all, remember that you are loved and valid! I love you all! ❤️❤️❤️
