Getaround, a San Francisco start-up, is tackling a big problem: car overpopulation. Envisioning a world with fewer cars, no traffic jams, and less pollution, Getaround is an online Peer-to-Peer carsharing service that allows drivers to rent cars from private car owners, and owners to rent out their cars for payment. Munich Re’s Maureen Brown, SVP and the US based Incubator underwriting team developed a , enabling Getaround’s customers to select a car from their phone, hop in the car, and take their trip, knowing there is insurance coverage for the entire rental period.
