First Impressions & Review: Sig Romeo X Enclosed Optic
First impression...good to go.
It was the next logical step to see an enclosed emitter optical system from Sig. With the success of their mil-spec version it made sense. I'm of the mindset the closed emitter is nice, but not completely necessary. But, I do see the future where all new pics will be enclosed.
What did I like, much of the reason why I like the original Romeo X is the size. Compact and low deck mounting make it a great carry optic choice. Battery life and illumination settings are pretty standard these day along with the side mounted battery compartment.
What I didn't like too much, about the only complaint I have is the lack of a button lock out feature. I would really like to see next generation come standard with this feature.
I mounted this copy on the P365 Spectre Comp to get more hours carrying since there are not a lot of holsters out for the new P365 Fuse. It is zeroed at 25 yards with a nice 4" group using the 3MOA dot. I got down to business with a couple hundred rounds downrange during the ProDev and all was good. Just the first step in many for this review.
My intention is to get up to about 2,000 rounds with 500 round zero confirmations and a final, in-depth review at the end. Stay tuned for more details.
