Cub Cadet LT1050 Fuel supply problem

The Cub Cadet would mow for a while then sputter and shut off. I removed the fuel tank and found a piece of plastic from the tank had partially broken loose and wedged in the outlet of the tank. Also there was some goop and grass in there .
