The Treaty of Sugauli , between the
Gorkhali king and the East India
Company, was ratified in 1816. It
caused Nepal's rulers to lose
about 105,000 km 2 of territory and
left Nepal with its present day
borders, with 147,181 km 2 total
area.

Greater Nepal was about 60% greater than the current Nepal. Greater Nepal border starts from Sikkim-Jalpaiguri in the east and
the border goes up to Sutlej in the west.
The concept of Greater Nepal at present
days is that Nepal should get back the
territories
