Guinness World Record Carolina Reaper Eating Contest 2017

Carolina Reaper Pepper Eating Contest at the California Hot Sauce Expo 2017 in Anaheim, California. The record to beat was over 120 grams of reapers. The event was hosted by Steve Seabury from High River Sauces and Ed Currie from PuckerButt Pepper Company.

The contestants were given 1 min to eat as many Carolina Peppers as possible without drinking anything during the contest and 1 min after eating the peppers. The Guinness World Record adjudicator then weighed the bowl of uneaten peppers to calculate their final score.
