Delta 14" Band Saw Restoration

I found this great old machine in the barn of an antique car restorer who's estate was being sold. She came to me in really rough shape, having been sitting idle for many years in a non-climate controlled building. Seized bearings, frozen sliding surfaces, oxidized wheels and bare metal, and layers of flaking paint, not to mention inches of oil soaked sawdust and metal chips characterised the early days of this project! Dreading the huge undertaking, this saw sat in the corner of my shop for some time! I stared at her daily, I knew what great potential she had. I had to remind myself that a journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step! At last, I moved her to the top of my list and after over 100 hours of love, this machine is back to what I would consider factory condition! Enjoy the labor of love that was the rebuilding of this classic piece of American iron!
