DIY Thermostat Replacement (Suzuki's)

A Quick little tutorial on how to change out the thermostat if you are experiencing overheating or excessive heat dissipating from your engine. This may be due to a faulty thermostat not fully opening allowing cool fluent to travel through the engine. My bike never overheated but temperatures at standstill did reach 240 degrees at times. The heat coming from the right side of the bike was so bad that it was cooking my leg, destroyed my paint job and also cracked my fairing. After this fix I no longer have any issues with excessive heat.

The tools you will need for this repair are:

• 8mm socket/ratchet
• Pair of small pliers
• A bucket (for radiator fluid draining)
• Old rag
• Thermostat

Estimated time to repair: 25 minutes
