Yes, GPU Prices are getting worse. The Graphics Card market overall has gotten worse and prices are likely to keep going up. GPU prices may have reached ridiculous levels, but what can you do to get a new GPU at MSRP? As we look at this month's GPU market we see that NVIDIA is acknowledging the terrible GPU market will continue into 2022. Crypotcurrency mining, particularly Ethereum, continues to drive GPU prices to insane levels way above MSRPs. This is because these cards literally print money, making the demand from miners infinite. When Inifite demand meets limited supply, prices go through the roof.

When does the GPU Market get better? When will graphics card prices go down? Cryptomining changes to Ethereum in July may begin to bring some relief, though it is not clear whether new altcoins will rise to take its place. NVIDIA is having some success evolving mining GPUs into different product lines from gaming GPUs. And there are still some good price to performance deals on Ebay in older generations, especially older AMD cards.

If you want to get a new GPU right now, what should you be doing? First of all, stop focusing on cards like the RTX 3080 that are cut down versions of higher cards like the 3090.
