The Runaways Rock Japan 1977 HD (High Resolution)

During the summer of 1977 The Runaways took Japan by storm becoming the fourth most popular imported mu
sical act behind ABBA, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. Unfortunately most of the available video footage from their two month tour is of fifth or sixth generation bootleg quality. While not particularly Hi-Definition I think this video is still a bit higher quality than most of the footage that can be found on Youtube at this time.

With Cherie Currie on vocals, the dueling guitars of Joan Jett and Lita Ford, Jackie Fox on base and the legendary Sandy West powering the beat, the caliber of this band was phenomenal. Although they never had a number one hit (except in Japan and Europe), it's good to see that this supergroup has finally received some recognition in the States with the recently released Runaways docudrama -
