104 - Why We WORRY and How to Stop It!
Welcome back to the channel. In this video, we'll explore what worry is, why we evolved to do it, and how strategies like "worry time" can help us manage it effectively.
Many people struggle with worry. Whenever I deliver resilience training, I guarantee that when I ask, "Who's a worrier?" At least half the room will raise their hands.
The persistent stream of "what ifs" and worst-case scenarios keeps us preoccupied, often making it difficult to relax or enjoy the present.
While worry is often viewed as a negative state, it has roots in human evolution and serves as a survival mechanism. However, in today's fast-paced, complex world, unchecked worry can become a significant source of stress and anxiety.
I'm Jo Banks. I spent 20 years as an HR professional before establishing my coaching practice in 2009. So, I've been a professional executive business coach for 16 years, and I'm sharing what I know!
