computer posture mistakes and fixes, episode 2

As a full-time office worker,
The old me tried to:

❌ sit up "straight"
❌ with stiff, rigid posture

I ended up overcorrecting (aka sitting up "too straight").

Which caused:

❌ more repetitive strain
❌ more overuse injuries

But I eventually realized, when working at a computer:

→ attention to detail was important
→ but so is being relaxed
→ and actively energetic
→ but only when necessary

This video talks about 2 of those details to pay attention to:

✅ I want my neck to use the least muscle activation necessary (so the top of my monitor has to be even with my eye level)

✅ I want my shoulders to be relaxed (which means I need correct chair height, so that my forearm is resting comfortably on the desk, but also my elbow is near my rib cage)

----------

When I'm at my desk, I want my torso to sway lightly, like a tree blowing in the breeze.

I don't want to be stiff and rigid, like a brick building would be.
